how do i heal from porn addiction?
2019. Earlier this year, I did a Pachamandala prayer about woman's sexuality. I have recently had many male friends come forward to me about sexual abuse as well as addiction to porn. So I decided to do another Pachamandala to pray for the healing of all my brother's sexuality. To realize just how powerful of a tool sexuality can be for either creation/healing/manifestation or destruction/passing on trauma. Sexuality has been an immense tool for my healing journey and enhancing my life in many ways. My experience thus far on my conscious sexuality path has been almost 18 months of self-pleasure (edging) practices (now 4 years) and the following year for the first time with a partner. A few teachers helped me learn the power of sexuality when used with prayer and intention. I had countless transformative moments alone but some astronomically profound healing moments with a committed partner. These practices enhanced my energy, making me feel invigorated for life; prayers and manifestations began to rapidly unfold in front of my eyes, and they guided me to tune into my body's intelligence when navigating new relationships. These practices helped heal physical, emotional, and spiritual distress. To overcome and to see my life and behavior patterns from a higher perspective. I went from 10 years of being a black-and-white portrait artist to overcoming my fear of creating abstract art, and like magic, my business and dreams began to just make themselves. It is sad for me to witness my brothers or sisters, for that matter, genuinely suffering from porn and sex addiction, stealing them away from their lives and families. Porn and sex addiction cause chemical changes in the brain and anatomical and pathological changes, which result in various manifestations of cerebral dysfunction collectively labeled hypofrontality syndromes. Critical elements of hypofrontal syndromes are impulsivity, compulsivity, emotional lability, and impaired judgment. They have compared porn and sex addiction to have similar effects on the brain as meth and cocaine addiction; ironically, you can use the same energy to heal that which afflicts you. On top of all benefits, it is also simply a source for yourself and your partner to experience more pleasure than you could ever imagine. The healing possibilities and layers to unfold are eternal. This Pachamandala is a prayer for my brothers to realize the healing and magic their sexuality can create for themselves and their loved ones.
