how do i learn to pray?
2020. To culminate my six ancestral and relationship clearings with Kambo, I felt the call to make my way to magical Sedona, AZ. The countless layers that continued to unfold on all levels after finishing my clearings almost 8 weeks before left me feeling like I needed a powerful place to pray to come full circle. I wanted to experience this land and couldn't think of a better time and place. People travel from all over the world to experience the rich native american culture, beautiful surroundings, and well-known energy vortexes of the area. The area's prehistory has many gaps, but archaeologists suspect that the earliest nomadic people of Sedona were hunting Ice Age beasts and gathering wild plants. Archaeologists have uncovered Archaic projectile points and stone tools dating back 7,000 years. These native cultures were gathering plants and hunting wild game that we are familiar with today. This culture did not substantially altar until around 700 A.D. When it was replaced by the Hakataya, Hohokam, and Sinagua cultures. These natives were known to farm and make pottery. Around the 15th century, these natives were replaced by the Yavapai, Tonto Apaches, Navajo, and Hopi Indians. Evidence of their life can be found in Sedona's cliff dwellings and rock art sites that depict ancient petroglyphs.
We all know how the rest of this story plays out, but still, to this day, you can feel the mystic powers embedded into these lands. Although this land felt beyond words, people today have identified a few specific points of land called energy vortexes, where many people come to pray, receive, or give healing work. These high energy points, called vortexes, are joined by ley lines. This energy system of ley lines all around the earth is theorized to directly affect all of us and can be used as a tool for prayer or healing. There are feminine or up-flow vortexes as well as masculine or down-flow vortexes. You can interpret in your own way how each might help you, but for me, this is what I did. I went first to two different feminine vortexes to say a prayer asking the spirit to assist me in sending love and healing I might not always be capable of to all my ancestors and past relations. I then went to two masculine vortexes to pray and leave in the hands of the spirit to decide what ancestors and past ties to set an energetic boundary with or cut the metaphorical cord with if needed. I sang/danced and made offerings of tobacco and white roses that had been soaking in the full moon of October. I also used the roses alongside reiki to clean my energetic body of any residual feelings that might be holding me back from living my purpose, reaching my full potential, and attracting healthy relations. I share this with you as a testament that we can create a better life for this planet. Although it might not feel like it at the moment, with a bit of gratitude, and an open, compassionate, and understanding heart, all of our 'good or bad' experiences/decisions come with lessons. With open eyes, they are all pushing us to take action to evolve toward a greater love for ourselves and the world around us.
