how to use sexual energy for healing?
2021. Sexual Coronation Sexuality has been an immense tool for my healing journey and enhancing my life in so many ways. My experience thus far on my conscious sexuality path has been almost 18 months (now 4 years) of self-pleasure (edging) practices and the following year, for the first time, with a committed partner. I will describe how to do these edging practices in future posts and ritual and intention practices with a partner. A few teachers helped me realize the power of sexuality when used with prayer and intention. I had countless transformative moments alone but some astronomically profound healing moments with a committed partner. Working with our sexual energy and learning to preserve it will heighten our energy state, making us feel invigorated for life. Sexuality is a potent tool for prayer and manifestation, and I have witnessed my prayers rapidly unfold in front of my eyes. Working with our sexual energy can help us tune into our body's intelligence when navigating life and relations. It is vital to healing our physical, emotional, and spiritual distresses and seeing our lives and behavior patterns from a higher perspective. I went from 10 years of being a black-and-white portrait artist to overcoming my fear of creating abstract art, and like magic, my business and dreams began to just make themselves. Many cultures, specifically America, have taught us that by giving our sexuality to others, we should receive something in return. We all fall victim to this mindset, men and women. We expect that when we give our sexuality, we should receive love, security, money, and status. Through many life experiences, teachers, and plant medicine experiences, I theorize that giving our sexuality to others is a key to our awakening and evolution. I experimented with polyamory in my 20s but didn't look at my relations as a healing container. Using intention with a committed partner, I experienced and witnessed healing leaps in grand proportions for both parties. I don't think this means that it can't be accomplished by polyamorous relationships or any sexual identity, for that matter, as long as it's used with love, attention, and prayer. Not saying that sex can't be fun or that playing around with roles or types of pleasure isn't prayer; just with an open and understanding heart, our sexuality is a way to learn the natural ebb and flow state of life. I theorize that we are all twin flames to each other, some of which just might hold more weight and truth in propelling us forward. With these Pachamandalas, I pray that we see more clearly our sexuality as a tool for healing rather than passing on trauma. I pray that we learn to be generous, giving, and attentive to our partner/s. Most importantly, we understand this way of being towards ourselves, to be gentle and forgiving, and to love ourselves beyond measure.
