inner child work
Inner child work is the act of reconnecting with that little boy or girl within. Inner child work requires us to relive the experiences of our childhood—the joy, the play, the pain, the disappointment, all of it. It is the act of learning to be that mother and father to ourselves throughout our lives in the current time. Inner child work is one of the most potent tools for healing, for becoming more emotionally mature, and for feeling more joy, calm, and peace within our bodies.
As any type of healer, guide, practitioner, or human of any kind, this work is a necessity to help others, to help ourselves, to prepare for parenthood, or to just live a fuller life. I would never contact anyone who does not understand that they are also forever students. Many practitioners give so much of their time and energy but sometimes forget about themselves; we become complacent, and our work becomes less potent. We will never have strong men and women, strong polarity, without knowing that it is okay to receive and learning to receive. My favorite tools to continue to feel the joy flowing are dance, music, art, and, if you can find the people or loved ones, play.
I recently did a free Journey to Joy workshop with @stefanossifandos @christinehassler. It was one of the most cathartic and potent inner-child workshops I have experienced to date. You can feel they have done the work, continue to do the work, and believe in every cell of their body of the potency of their work, inner child work. This is a small fraction of their offerings, and I highly recommend reaching out to and receiving from them. To realize we need other couples to guide us to where we want to go.
