how do I heal sexual trauma?
2017.I have many women (and a few men) very close to me who have experienced the extremes of sexual trauma in their life. The more I ask women in my life this question, the more I find just how rare it is to find a woman who hasn't. I have been both the abused and the abuser in my lifetime. I am genuinely grateful for these experiences as they all came with teachings and a larger perspective on being human. I recently had a memory resurface from when I was a 14-year-old boy being practically forced to engage sexually with an older woman. I remember feeling confused and disgusted for weeks afterward, then forgetting about it until I was 34. I have had many strenuous moments in my healing journey, and I thought I might never be able to escape the pain. I have seen a few women shed entirely the weight of these experiences or at least learn how to navigate easily. This flower arrangement is a prayer guided towards humanity's healing (including my own) of all trauma, sexual, emotional and all of the above. To know that there is a way out. It is also a prayer intended to bring our sexuality back into balance and realize just how powerful of a tool this can be for healing and destruction. My sexuality has played an immense role in my healing journey and in manifesting the life I know I deserve. I will add to my healing services online and in-person classes on creating these prayers.
